A Personal Journey to Zanzibar

We’re two individuals with long, personal ties to Zanzibar, helping make this particular sale transparent, safe, and straightforward for the right buyer.

Morten – From Norway to Zanzibar (since 1998)
My story with Zanzibar began back in 1998, when I first came here with my family. My mother and stepfather built a house right on the beach in Jambiani, and for 10 years I lived on and off here ever since, and I know the ups and downs of property ownership on the island firsthand.

My real estate journey started when I sold my parents’ house years later to a wonderful Swiss couple, who still live there today – happily settled and part of the community. That experience showed me something important: buying a home here can be life-changing, (both in terms of lifestyle, and financially) but only if the process is handled with care, trust, and local knowledge.

Stefano – Building a Life in Jambiani (since 2020)
Stefano’s journey started in Germany, but his heart led him to Zanzibar in 2020. Since then, he has built his own home in Jambiani and helped others design and build theirs. With hands-on experience and daily involvement in local construction and property, he knows the right people in every part of the process – from builders and craftsmen to lawyers and local authorities.

Mr. Mtumwa Saidi Samuli is an Advocate of the High Court of Tanzania with legal practice dating back to 2014. He is a Public Notary and Commissioner for Oaths in Zanzibar and is accredited by the Ministry of Constitutional and Legal Affairs as an Arbitrator, Mediator, Negotiator, and Legal Consultant.

He specializes in property and land law, conveyancing, civil and criminal litigation, and company law, and works closely with Madam Zena Saidi Keshanga to provide reliable legal support for both local and international clients in Zanzibar.

We’ve seen how confusing and risky property transactions in Zanzibar can feel to foreigners. Unclear processes, misinformation, and unfortunately, scams are not uncommon.

This page exists to be the opposite of that.

Our role is not to “sell you Zanzibar”, but to present this villa honestly, answer questions directly, and guide you through the process if this home feels right for you.
